I’m not an “operator” or “tacticool” guy. I’m just a normal person who wanted an affordable and reliable way to communicate with buddies on the range or in cases of emergency while wearing my electronic hearing protection. I took a male to male 3.5mm cable and connected my Sordin Supreme Pro X’s to the mic. The audio in the headset is clear and adjusts with the volume knob on the radio. The active hearing protection is unaffected by this connection and operates normally with the buttons on the headset. When I want to talk I use the shoulder mic (much like a militarily style push to talk). The audio from the radio does not transmit over the shoulder mic so long as the 3.5mm cable is plugged into it. Overall a quality product and worth the money. My only “issue” is the plug that fills the 3.5mm jack when not utilized is retained by a stiff piece of rubber. Thinner rubber there or a string to hold it instead would allow the plug to get out of the way in a cleaner way.
We received the mics within 3 days of the order, and they are very good quality.
